Thank you for this website! I agree that Dr. Wohlrabe is the right man to get our church going in the right direction again! He is a faithful pastor, a true leader, a real theologian and experienced missionary. Those who know him all agree: John Wohlrabe is a man of integrity, friendliness, and self-discipline, with a winning personality.
I hope that you can, if possible, post Dr. Wohlrabe’s must-read essay, “How We Got into This Mess: A Brief Survey of LCMS History.”
I am a delegate to the Houston convention, by the way.

The Rev. Dr. Wohlrabe is a man of character. We need a character to lead the Synod!
This deligate has made his mind up.

Let’s keep our comments positive and in support of Dr. Wohlrabe (i.e. not bashing other nominees).

Chaplain John Wohlrabe has been my personal mentor for many years now. He took this junior officer under his wing, demonstrating what the poet Rudyard Kipling meant when he wrote about walking with kings, yet keeping the common touch. John Wohlrabe walks with the best of churchmen, yet he has a heart for the lost. He is one of our wisest theologians, yet he can tell the Good News of Jesus clearly even to fools like me. He is one promotion away from being an Admiral and was hand-selected to be the first senior chaplain of all the Navy’s Seabees, yet he still chooses to get in the dirt of Iraq with Good News for his people. He is a missionary to the military, with a clear message: Jesus Christ came to save sinners – like me.
Chaplain John Wohlrabe truly is the man God can use to “right the ship!”

I heartily support Dr. Wohlrabe’s election. My congregation nominated him for this office and we would be thrilled if he should win. I hope that you’ll soon (and regularly) be adding additional content in order to attract new readers and repeat visitors while strengthening the case for his candidacy.

I also support Dr. Wohlrabe’s election and our church’s voter’s assembly nominated him for LCMS President in 2007. Rev. Wally Schulz is another we favor, along with Rev. Daniel Preus. Other good men are Balfour, Scott Murray, David Rhode.
Faith Lutheran Church, Plano, Texas has a congregation membership greater than 1000 members and we have ‘no’ representation to the 2007 convention because we are in circuit that tends to be more liberal. This is simply not right, especially when there are so many ’small’ special circuit representation allowed to vote. (I don’t care how we do it, but each LC-MS pastor should be allowed a vote, and a layman from that pastor’s church should also have a vote. God is our anchor, but we would still like to have a vote representating our views.
Please add me to your list. I can pray, but will not be allowed a vote, along with our Pastor. This is sad, but God is still in charge.
Blessings, M. Richard Rump, Congregation President

I served with Dr. John Wohlrabe when he was a parish pastor in the Rocky Flats Circuit of the Rocky Mountain District. Besides being a pastor who loved his people, he is an outstanding theologian with a good historical understanding of the LCMS. He has spoken at my congregation on issues concerning the balance between our mission outreach and our doctrinal integrity. There are few candidates for synodical president that can combine his admistrative abilities as a Chaplain in the U.S. Navy with the rank of Captain, his historical knowledge of American Christianity with a Th.D. from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, and a genuine humility in working with others. I believe that he combines a love of biblical truth as expressed in our Lutheran Confessions with a love for God’s people and for those needing to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Captin John Wohlrabe is a man who can be the good shepherd to lead the Missouri Synod back to sound doctrine again. He has a passion to save lost souls in a perishing world. We need a shepherd who can give leadership to the pure doctrine of the Word of God and to get this message out to perishing souls. He is a man who can maintain a balance between theology and missions.
